GENTILE JACK is virtually a vibrationless and noiseless jackhammer that actually does an amazingly efficient job without wear and tear on the operator, equipment or environment. GENTLE JACK vibrates 99% less than conventional breakers, is 90% quieter, weighs 20% less, has 50% less parts and is still more energy and work efficient than a conventional jackhammer. GENTLE JACK can do similar work with a 11hp compressor as the 90 lb conventional jackhammer does using a 25hp compressor. Because it requires no intercooler, after cooler or receiver, there is minimal downtime. A conventional jackhammer takes about 50 pounds of push from the operator, but GENTLE JACK takes a maximum of 35 pounds. That means that just about anyone can operate it. Because it is lighter and easier to move and operate, there will be less worker downtime. In a sound study engineers measured the noise output of GENTLE JACK compared to conventional jackhammers. The relative noise in absolute terms showed that an unmuffled jackhammer, would be ranked 100; a muffled jackhammer would then rank at 17, which is still loud, and GENTLE JACK ranks at 3.13. The vibrationless operation is based on two key points. There is a constant air pressure between the piston hammer and the GENTLE JACK housing throughout the stroke cycle; powering the down stroke of the piston but resulting in no varible forces being imparted to the tool or the operator holding the tool. The system then allows a variable air pressure to power the upstroke of the piston.
